Community forums / board meetings

DLPOA holds community forums about nine times a year, usually with a guest speaker — County Commissioners, Fish & Game, the Fire Department, the PUD, the Sheriff's Office, and others. Members are encouraged to attend; email dlpoawebmaster@gmail.com to add an item to the agenda. Dates are posted on the calendar.

Annual Meeting

The Annual Membership Meeting is held in August (moved from June in 2018 so more members would already be at the lake). The agenda typically includes the financial report and budget, election of directors, the milfoil/LMD update, water-quality results, and open member discussion. Only members in good standing may vote — renew your dues beforehand.

Annual community events

• Spring & fall road cleanups — volunteers pick up litter around the lake; gloves and bags provided.
• Free Chipper days — Stevens County brings a grinder; bring your tree limbs and yard debris.
• Independence Day weekend — Fri Jul 3: fireworks over the lake after dark; Sat Jul 4: Family Parade 10:30 AM, Boat Parade 2:00 PM, and the DLPOA community picnic; Sun Jul 5: Pancake Feed 8 AM–Noon.
• Pig Out at Pinelow — an August BBQ potluck.
• New Year's Eve dance at Deer Lake Resort.
• Disabled veterans fishing outings — members with pontoon boats host a few summer trips.
